PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface greening unit and wall surface greening equipment, which can prevent irregularity of water irrigated in units in respective stages as much as possible and can prevent the humidity in a unit in a lower stage from becoming more excessive than the humidity in a unit in an upper stage as much as possible. SOLUTION: The wall surface greening unit includes: an inner planter 3 in which a planting base and a plant can be stored; an outer planter 2 in which the inner planter 3 can be stored and which has a water storage part 8 for storing water to be irrigated; a water guiding means for guiding water stored in the water storage part 8 of the outer planter 2 into the inner planter 3; and a drain water guide passage which has a drain for discharging water inside the water storage part 8 of the outer planter 2 and which guides water discharged from the drain into the water storage part of the outer planter 2 of the wall surface greening unit on the lower stage. The drain in the drain water guide passage is disposed higher than the bottom of the water storage part 8, so that water in the water storage part 8 overflowing from the drain is guided from the upstream side to the downstream side of the drain water guide passage.
