PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating action of application of coal ash to soil by which action as fertilizer and action as soil-moisturizing material each on plants to be cultivated when applying the coal ash such as fly ash to the soil are independently evaluated.SOLUTION: The method for evaluating action of application of coal ash to soil includes: supplying coal ash eluate diluted into various concentrations to test soil where the plants to be cultivated are planted to perform a primary cultivation test so as to evaluate the action as fertilizer on the plants to be cultivated according to the application ratio of the coal ash to the soil based on the relation between the growth condition of the plants to be cultivated and the concentration of the coal ash eluate obtained from the result of the primary cultivation test and performing a secondary cultivation test using a plurality kinds of simulated soils to evaluate the action as soil-moisturizing material on the plants to be cultivated according to the application ratio of the coal ash to the soil based on the relation between the growth condition of the plants to be cultivated and the composition of the simulated soil obtained from the result of the secondary cultivation test, so that the action as fertilizer and the action as soil-moisturizing material each on the plants to be cultivated according to the application ratio of the coal ash to the soil are independently evaluated.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】栽培対象植物に対し、フライアッシュ等の石炭灰を土壌に施用したときの肥料としての作用と土壌保水材としての作用とをそれぞれ独立して評価する。【解決手段】各種濃度に希釈された石炭灰溶出液を栽培対象植物が植えられた試験土壌に供給して第一の栽培試験を実施し、第一の栽培試験の結果から得られる栽培対象植物の生育状態と石炭灰溶出液の濃度との関係に基づき、石炭灰の土壌への施用割合による栽培対象植物への肥料としての作用を評価する一方、複数の模擬土壌を用いた第二の栽培試験を実施し、第二の栽培試験の結果から得られる栽培対象植物の生育状態と模擬土壌の構成との関係に基づき、石炭灰の土壌への施用割合による栽培対象植物への土壌保水材としての作用を評価し、石炭灰の土壌への施用割合による栽培対象植物への肥料としての作用と土壌保水材としての作用とをそれぞれ独立して評価するようにした。【選択図】図1
