PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an enlargement of an assist suit and an increase in weight, in the assist suit which is worn and used by an operator, and which assists work (operation) of the operator by motive power.SOLUTION: An assist suit comprises a body part 1 installed in a back part of an operator, a leg action part 2 acting on a leg part of the operator and a cargo action part 3 operated by the operator by holding by hand for holding a cargo, and also comprises a first transmission system 26 and a first clutch 27 for transmitting motive power of an actuator 24 to the leg action part 2, a second transmission system 28 and a second clutch 29 for transmitting to the cargo action part 3. The actuator 24 is operated so that the leg action part 2 assists standing-up of the operator in a state of operating the first clutch 27 in a transmission state and operating the second clutch 29 in a cutoff state. The actuator 24 is operated so that the cargo action part 3 operates to the rising side and the lowering side in a state of operating the first clutch 27 in the cutoff state and operating the second clutch 29 in the transmission state.
