PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress for a gatch bed that can prevent deviation of a mattress in the longitudinal direction of a gatch bed during the middle raising operation of the bed and that also can prevent deviation of a bed user who lies on the side on the mattress.SOLUTION: In the lower face of a cover enclosing the mattress body, there is installed a slide stopper at a position corresponding to the hard part of the mattress body, for the purpose of preventing the mattress from sliding between the cover and the bottom. As a result, with the back bottom elevated and, with the middle raising operation performed, the users weight tends to be concentrated on the hard part of the mattress body. By installing the slide stopper at the position corresponding to the hard part in the lower face of the cover, the load is effectively imparted to the slide stopper, with a frictional force effectively worked with the bottom in-between in the lower part, preventing the mattress from deviating in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
