The chair-type massage machine (1) comprises a seat (2), armrests (3) provided on both sides of the seat (2) in the left-right direction so as to extend in the front-rear direction, and a backrest (4) provided on the rear side of the seat (2), wherein each armrest (3) has an opening (7) that opens towards the rear of the armrest (3) as well as an arm massage part (5) that enables massaging of an arm when inserted into the opening (7) towards the front, and each arm massage part (5) is capable of moving freely up and down between a contained position at which the arm massage part (5) is contained inside the armrest (3) and insertion of the arm from the opening (7) is restricted and a massage position at which the arm massage part (5) protrudes upwards from the armrest (3) and insertion of the arm from the opening (7) is enabled.
