A ROBUST BIO-CATALYTIC METHODOLOGY TO SYNTHESIZE (2E)-BUT-2-ENOATE COMPOUNDS USING LIPASE AND SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE AS A GREENER REACTION SYSTEM.
The present invention offers an efficient green protocol for the synthesis of novel alkyl (2E)-but-2-enoate compounds in the SC-CO2 reaction media. This invention has various benefits like use of bio-catalyst and reaction solvent which fulfilled a complete green chemistry features. Furthermore, the present invention reports an efficient method for the synthesis of wide variety of (2E)-but-2- enoate compounds with extensive substrate array. The reaction protocol used is very simple, recyclable and appropriate for scale-up/ commercialization process which involves the simple work-up process to get desired product.
