PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot arm operating technique of a robot arm for welfare capable of easily holding articles and easily operating instruments and devices.
SOLUTION: This robot arm operating method comprises an information readout step of disposing a camera mounted on the robot arm near an image mark in which the information on the operation of the robot arm is included by moving the robot arm by the manual operation of the user (manual mode), and when the image of the image mark is included in the image photographed by the camera, reading out the information expressed by the image mark referring to the image of the image mark and a robot arm control step of automatically controlling the operation of the robot arm based on the information thus obtained.
