PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-standing supporting tool for young seedlings, capable of making a position of a support part conform to the extension of a stem length, and easily holding in a storage part without damaging stems.SOLUTION: A self-standing supporting tool 1 includes a prop 2 placed in a standing position on soil S, and a holding-back member 3 supported on the prop 2 in a relative vertical motion free manner. The prop 2 is unitedly formed by a synthetic resin, and includes a bar-like body 4, a guard part 5 on the lower part of the body 4, a penetrating part 6 below the guard part 5, a picking piece 7 on the upper end part, and a retaining piece 8. The picking piece 7 continues to the upper end part of the body 4 and refractedly extends laterally. The retaining piece 8 continues to the edge of the picking part 7 and refractedly extends downward. The holding-back member 3 is made of an elastic synthetic resin, has on one end a ring-like support part 9 to freely pierce the prop 2 into, and has on the other end a grasping part 10 elastically grasping the stems of a young seedling P.
