PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dentifrice compositions suitable for prevention or suppression of periodontal diseases, in which adsorption of isopropyl methylphenol to a container is suppressed and isopropyl methylphenol is temporally stable, and to provide methods of inhibiting adsorption of isopropyl methylphenol to a container of dentifrice compositions.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a dentifrice composition wherein (D) 1,100-3,000 ppm of a fluorine compound as fluorine is incorporated into a dentifrice composition which contains (A) isopropyl methylphenol, (B) anionic surfactant, and (C) nonionic surfactant, and which is filled in a container having an innermost layer consisting of polyethylene.
