An apparatus for forming a food material, such as an apparatus for encrusting a filling material such as bean jam, where production cost is reduced because one driving motor and one rotating shaft control the opening and closing movements of a cutting apparatus and the lifting and lowering movements of the cutting apparatus and a food-receiving member. A simplified control system is also provided.
