PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-treated product of corn gluten meal having <30 ppm of a sulfur dioxide content, and to provide a method for producing the heat-treated product. SOLUTION: The heat-treated product of the corn gluten meal has <30 ppm of the sulfur dioxide content and 50-99 wt.% of a protein content expressed in terms of dried weight. The method for producing the heat-treated product of the corn gluten meal includes a step for obtaining the heat-treated product of the corn gluten meal having the <30 ppm of the sulfur dioxide content by heating a raw material for the corn gluten meal at 105-150°C.
