PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent controllable of plant diseases based on a finding of a pyridylpyrimidine derivative having an effect to induce expression of a disease-resistant gene of a plant and using the pyridylpyrimidine derivative as a component of the agent.SOLUTION: It has been found out that some pyridylpyrimidine derivatives induce expression of disease-resistant genes of a plant such as PR-1 gene and these derivatives exhibit excellent controlling effect on plant diseases caused by pathogenic bacterium of e.g. anthracnose of Brassicaceae vegetables.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 植物における病害抵抗性遺伝子の発現を誘導する効果を有するピリジルピリミジン誘導体を見出し、当該ピリジルピリミジン誘導体を利用して、植物病害を防除しうる薬剤を提供すること【解決手段】 いくつかのピリジルピリミジン誘導体が、植物における病害抵抗性遺伝子であるPR-1遺伝子などの発現を誘導し、これによりアブラナ科野菜類炭疽病菌などによる植物病害に対して、優れた防除効果を発揮することを見出した。【選択図】 なし
