PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing seaweed seedlings which are efficiently producible, excellent in a fixation ratio after transplanted when produced as seaweed seedlings for transplantation, easy to directly attach them to a creation structure, and also usable as food or feed.SOLUTION: The method for producing seaweed seedlings comprises: setting up a supporting tool 10 at the upper part of which a net-like part surrounded by a rectangular frame part is formed, inside a water tank 20 charged with seaweed germ cells inserting many binding bands 1 each composed of a belt-like part and a head part 6, into meshes of the net-like part with the respective head parts 6 of the bands up in a condition where the head parts 6 are close to one another so as to make the germ cells adhere to the head parts 6 of the binding bands 1 and supplying fresh seawater and air, respectively through a water supply pipe 21 and an air supply pipe 22, to the inside of the water tank 20 to grow the germ cells into small alga bodies of the seaweed. The seaweed seedlings are attached to curing ropes, hooks of the creation structure and the like utilizing the loop state-maintaining function of the binding bands 1 integrated with the small alga bodies.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】効率的な生産が可能であり、移植用の海藻種苗とした場合には移植後の定着率が良好で、そのまま造成用構造物に対して簡単に取り付けることができ、また食用や餌料としての適用も可能な海藻種苗の生産方法を提供する。【解決手段】海藻の生殖細胞を含む水槽20の内部に、上部に矩形状枠部で囲まれた網状部を備える支持具10を設置するとともに、この網状部に対して、帯状部と頭部6とからなる多数の結束バンド1をそれらの頭部6が互いに近づいた状態で各頭部6を上にして網目に差し込み、結束バンド1の頭部6に生殖細胞を付着させる。そして、新鮮な海水と空気をそれぞれ給水管21と給気管22を介して水槽20内に供給して海藻の小藻体に育成する。海藻種苗は、小藻体と一体になった結束バンド1のループ状保持機能を利用して養成用ロープや造成用構造物のフックなどに取り付ける。【選択図】 図4
