PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a loadage of preliminary seedling by providing a sub preliminary seedling placement part different from a preliminary seedling placement part, while facilitating supply work of seedling in a preliminary seedling placement part, improve working efficiency by smoothly performing planting work, and prevent occurrence of abnormal operation of the seedling planting part caused by a planting clutch.SOLUTION: The seedling planting machine comprises: a seedling planting part at a rear part of a travel vehicle body a planting clutch 169 for turning on/off transmission to the seedling planting part, the planting clutch 169 including an operation groove 171a formed on an outer peripheral surface of a driven clutch claw body 171 thereof and an operation pin 173 that, upon inserted into the operation groove 171a, moves the driven clutch claw body 171 to a side away from the drive clutch claw body 170.
