It is provided an engine assembly configured to drive outdoor power equipment, comprising: an internal combustion engine; an electric motor coupled to the internal combustion engine and configured to start the internal combustion engine; a control circuit configured to operate the electric motor; and an energy storage device configured to be electrically coupled to the electric motor, wherein the energy storage device is fastened to at least one of the internal combustion engine and the electric motor.
