PURPOSE: A composition containing an extract of a green tea by-product for preventing and treating animal diseases caused by influenza virus is provided to ensure a excellent antiviral effect in vivo and in vitro and to be used in a veterinary composition and feed additives. CONSTITUTION: A veterinary composition for preventing and treating diseases caused by virus in animals except for human contains an extract of green tea by-products as an active ingredient. The diseases are caused by infection of influenza virus family. A feed additive, a feed composition, and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating the diseases contain the extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared from catechin-removed green tea by-products. [Reference numerals] (AA) Sample； (BB) Green tea extract； (CC) Green tea by-product extract본 발명은 녹차 부산물의 추출물을 함유하는 인플루엔자 바이러스로 인한 동물 질환의 예방 및 치료를 위한 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 의한 녹차 부산물의 추출물은 인플루엔자 A 바이러스 (influenza A viruses)를 이용한 시험관 내 (in vitro) 실험 및 상기 바이러스 감염 동물을 이용한 생체 내 (in vivo) 실험 에서 바이러스 증식 억제에 의한 항바이러스 효과가 탁월하므로, 상기 바이러스의 체내 감염으로 유발되는 동물 질환의 예방 및 치료에 유용한 수의학적 조성물, 사료첨가제 및 살바이러스 소독용 조성물에 이용할 수 있다.
