PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing Sedum Kamtschaticum by which growth of weeds is prevented without trouble, and which is suitably utilized for mass production and prevents the weeds from growing even when the seeds of the weeds come by air. SOLUTION: The method for growing Sedum Kamtschaticum includes: partly cutting part of a covering material which covers culture soil or making holes in the covering material to secure implanting parts for Sedum Kamtschaticum; implanting Sedum Kamtschaticum seedlings in the implanting parts so as to perform greening; and embedding the space between the Sedum Kamtschaticum and the covering material at the implanting parts for the Sedum Kamtschaticum with hydrogel produced by kneading carboxymethylcellulose and an acid or acidic solution or soaking the carboxymethylcellulose in the acid or the acidic solution.
