PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorption treatment material that does not attach itself to an animal to be used, prevents of contamination of use position, has a high absorption rate, suppresses generation of offensive odor and effectively utilizes a water absorption treatment material which has been useless.SOLUTION: The water absorption treatment material is obtained by gathering a plurality of granular water-absorbing bodies. The plurality of granular water-absorbing bodies include large-diameter granular water-absorbing bodies that pass a sieve having a screen mesh of 25 mm and remain on a sieve having a screen mesh of 5-8 mm and small-diameter granular water-absorbing bodies passing a sieve having a screen mesh of 3-4 mm.
