PURPOSE: A revetment reinforcement member and a revetment protection method using the same are provided to stably protect revetment by fixing the revetment to a bearing layer so that the lower portion is not damaged due to the scour phenomenon or the separation from the ground. CONSTITUTION: A revetment reinforcement member (100) includes a box-shaped main body (110), a plant root penetration hole (120), and a partition wall. The opening part is formed in a main body in a vertical direction, and multiple plant root through-hole are formed on the side surface of the main body. Multiple partition walls are integrally installed so as to be arranged in the main body in a lattice structure. The lower portion of the revetment reinforcement member is installed so as to be buried in a bearing layer (2), and has a surface layer (1) by mounding and compaction.본 발명은 상하 방향으로 트임부가 형성된 박스형의 본체(110)； 본체(110)에 설치된 식물의 뿌리가 관통하도록 본체(110)의 측벽에 형성된 다수의 식물 뿌리 관통공(120)；을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 호안 보강부재(100) 및 이를 이용한 호안 보호공법을 제시함으로써, 지면으로부터 이탈되거나 세굴현상으로 인하여 하부가 파손되지 않도록 지지층에 고정하여 호안을 안정적으로 보호하며, 시공성 및 경제성을 높이고, 환경적 측면에서 식생활착이 유리하도록 한다.
