The present invention relates to a toothpaste composition containing rice bran as a natural abrasive agent and a preparation method thereof. According to the present invention, the toothpaste composition contains rice bran particulates as a natural abrasive agent, wherein the particulates have an average particle diameter of 5-15 μm, wherein at least 40 vol% of the particulates have a particle diameter of 10 μm or less and at least 90 vol% of the particulates have a particle diameter of 25 μm or less. The toothpaste composition, due to containing the rice bran particulates serving as a natural abrasive agent and having uniform particle distribution and hardness, exhibits excellent dental plaque and tartar removal efficiency； exhibits whitening effects of rice bran and contains substances good for the gum, such as vitamin B_1, B_2 and E, and the like, and thus has teeth whitening effect and benefits on gum health； is capable of eliminating bad breath effectively； due to not containing various harmful substances, minimizes concerns for adverse side effects, and thus can be safely used by users； and can produce high value-added products by recycling rice bran which is an agricultural by-product typically discarded as waste.본 발명은 미강을 천연 연마제로 함유하는 치약 조성물 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 미강을 천연 연마제로 함유하는 치약 조성물은 평균 입경 5~15㎛이고, 10㎛ 이하 비율이 40부피% 이상이며, 25㎛ 이하 비율이 90부피% 이상인 미강 미립 분체를 연마제로 포함하며, 본 발명의 미강을 천연 연마제로 함유하는 치약 조성물은 연마제로서의 미강 미립 분체가 고른 입자 분포와 경도를 지니므로 우수한 치태 및 치석 제거 효율성을 지니며, 미강의 미백 효능과 잇몸 유용 성분인 비타민 B1, B2, E등을 함유하므로 치아 미백 및 잇몸 건강에 유용함은 물론, 우수한 구취 제거능을 지니며, 특히 각종 유해 성분이 포함되지 않아 부작용 우려를 최소화함으로써 사용자가 안심하고 사용할 수 있으며, 폐기물로 버려지는 농업 부산물인 미강을 재활용함으로써 고부가가치화 할 수 있다.
