PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular dry food product reducing the generation of powder without using a gelatinizer, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A granular dry food product 1 contains granular starch and food ingredients impregnated with granular starch. The food ingredients are at least one kind selected from the group consisting of fruits and vegetables. The granular dry food product contains 75 mass% or more of particles which do not pass a sieve of an aperture of 2 mm in sieving with a standard sieve regulated in JIS Z 8801, based on the total mass of the granular dry food product. The granular dry food product is produced by freeze-drying and crushing a food composition which is obtained by mixing with granular starch, a half liquid product containing at least one kind of food ingredients selected from the group consisting of fruits and vegetables.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
