A fingerprint recognition method capable of improving a fingerprint recognition rate, comprising: step 1, acquiring fingerprint images and recording the number of acquisitions, and then proceeding to step 2; step 2, matching the fingerprint images with a prestored fingerprint template for recognition: if the matching succeeds, ending the matching recognition process; otherwise, proceeding to step 3; step 3, repairing the fingerprint images, and matching the repaired fingerprint images with the prestored fingerprint template for recognition: if the matching succeeds, ending the matching recognition process; otherwise, proceeding to step 4; step 4, comparing the number of acquisitions with a predefined number of times: if the number of acquisitions reaches the predefined number of times, ending the matching recognition process; otherwise, returning to step 1. By repeatedly acquiring fingerprint images for matching recognition and repairing the unrecognized fingerprint images for another matching recognition, th
