An apparatus for controlling the temperature of a bench is provided to solve the problem where the conventional temperature controlling mechanism cannot promptly and effectively adjust the temperature of the medium. The apparatus permits the plant to grow stably via the temperature controller of the apparatus even if the plant is not on season. The apparatus includes a box having a chamber divided into a planting area and a temperature control chamber by a heat exchanging board, a medium received in the planting area and totally covering the top face of the heat exchanging board, and a temperature controlling module having a temperature controller intercommunicating with a heat exchange tube. The planting area is located above the temperature control chamber. The heat exchanging board includes a plurality of upper protrusions and a plurality of lower protrusions.
