The present invention concerns a surgical kit for securing vertebrae by posterior or posterolateral approach, comprising: - at least one pedicle or spinal screw (4), and a mounting pipe engaging with said screw (4), - the mounting pipe has two rigid branches (1, 2) having, on the inner face, at least one shoulder complementary in shape to a cavity provided to each side of the head of the screw (4), to allow the gripping or the releasing of said screw by moving apart the ends of said rigid branches (1, 2), - the kit further comprising a retractable insert (3) for securing said branches. The head of the screw has at least two longitudinal extensions (23, 24), configured to allow the insertion of same into a space complementary in shape formed between the inner surface of said retractable insert (3), when the latter is totally engaged in said mounting pipe.
