[Problem] To provide, in order to disinfect spore-forming microbes contained in a treatment object such as food, a method for inducing germination of spore-forming microbes rapidly without using any chemical substance, and a method for disinfection using this germination induction method. [Solution] The present invention is characterized by including: a cleaning step for removing impurity particles that have adhered to the surface of a treatment object that has spore-forming microbes attached thereto； and a light irradiation step for irradiating, after said cleaning step, the treatment object with light to cause germination.[Problème] Fournir un procédé pour induire une germination de microbes formant des spores rapidement sans utiliser de substance chimique, et un procédé de désinfection utilisant ce procédé d'induction de germination, afin de désinfecter un objet de traitement, tel que des aliments, contenant des microbes formant des spores.
