Described herein are 1,4-substituted piperidine compounds of Formula I, which have demonstrated activity as inhibitors of fatty acid synthetase. Also described herein are pharmaceutical compositions comprising the 1,4-substituted piperidine compounds described above, and are mediated by fatty acid synthetase by administering one or more of the compounds or pharmaceutical preparations described herein. Also described are methods of treating a disease.
