PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a new flavor ingredient with an effect of easily relaxing mental stress, by blending it into a flavor composition.SOLUTION: This composition for psychosedation contains, as an effective component, a racemate of (R)-(-)-4-(2,6,6-trimethyl-1-cyclohexenyl) butan-2-ol or 4-(2,6,6-trimethyl-1-cyclohexenyl) butan-2-ol, and the present invention discloses the flavor compositions, foods and drinks, cosmetics, quasidrugs and miscellaneous daily goods containing the composition for psychosedation.
