PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for producing a packaged beverage that suppresses deterioration of taste and aroma of extract.
SOLUTION: The method for producing a packaged beverage includes a step for heating a mixed liquid of an extraction object and a liquid at an extraction part constituted of a section composed of at least one part of piping while continuously making the mixed liquid flow to a downstream side in the piping. In the step, an extract in which the component of the extraction object is extracted in the liquid is formed and the mixed liquid is heated and sterilized. Since thermal sterilization is carried out in the extraction, thermal sterilization is not required anew after the extraction and deterioration of taste and aroma of extract are suppressed.
