PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a change in a curved shape of a curved section and notify an operator of the change.SOLUTION: An endoscope device 100 includes a strain sensor 212, a microcomputer 254, and a processor 300. The strain sensor 212 is a detection part for detecting a curving amount of a curved section 211 of the endoscope 100. The microcomputer 254 is a control part for detecting fluctuations in the curving amount. The processor 300 is a notification part for notifying of the fluctuations in the curving amount.
