This utility model claims for the process of producing steamed native cake with fruit toppings called as "puto de fruita" comprising the following steps: sifting of sweet potato flour; weighing of sifted sweet potato flour; mixing of sugar, water, evaporated milk, buttermilk and preservative in the sifted flour to produce a mixture; sifting the mixture, then setting aside; greasing of molder with margarine; adding of sifted mixture to the greased molder; putting of pre-cooked fruits in sugar solution on top of the mixture in the greased molder; steaming of mixture in molder for 20-30 minutes to produce the steamed native cake with fruit toppings ; and cooling the steamed native cake with fruit toppings . This further claims for the product obtainable from the said process.
