<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the contraction coefficient and current/voltage characteristics of a layered body by simple and economical configuration and a process causing no load on the layered body, and to surely determine whether power generation performance is satisfactory or not. <P>SOLUTION: This inspection method for the layered body comprises: a first process for measuring the length of the layered body 50 before baking the layered body 50; a second process for measuring the length of the layered body 50 after baking the layered body 50; a third process for calculating the shrinkage rate of the layered body 50 based on first and second measurement values obtained in the first and second processes, respectively; a fourth process for determining whether the shrinkage rate of the layered body 50 is satisfactory or not based on the calculated shrinkage rate; a fifth process for calculating the SN ratio of the layered body 50 based on the first and second measurement values; and a sixth process for determining whether the current/voltage characteristics of the layered body 50 is satisfactory or not based on the calculated SN ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
