A device for implanting a bone fixation system comprises an insertion instrument extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the distal end having an engagement portion for removably engaging a proximal end of a bone plate, the insertion instrument having an elongated channel extending therethrough to permit insertion of a first protection sleeve therethrough, wherein a longitudinal axis of the elongated channel is coaxial with a longitudinal axis of a first opening extending through the bone plate and a first protection sleeve insertable into the elongated channel and guiding insertion of an anti-rotation screw therethrough and through the bone plate, a longitudinal axis of the first protection sleeve being angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the elongated channel.La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour implanter un système de fixation osseuse qui comprend un instrument dinsertion sétendant dune extrémité proximale à une extrémité distale, lextrémité distale ayant une partie dengagement pour engager de façon amovible une extrémité proximale dune plaque osseuse, linstrument dinsertion ayant un canal allongé sétendant à travers celui-ci pour permettre linsertion dun premier manchon de protection à travers celui-ci, un axe longitudinal du canal allongé étant coaxial avec un axe longitudinal dune première ouverture sétendant à travers la plaque osseuse et un premier manchon de protection insérable dans le canal allongé et guidant linsertion dune vis antirotation à travers celui-ci et à travers la plaque osseuse, un axe longitudinal du premier manchon de protection étant coudé par rapport à laxe longitudinal du canal allongé.
