The present invention relates to an apparatus for roasting grains using hot air and a method thereof. The method for roasting grains using hot air according to the present invention comprises the following steps: feeding certain amount of grains into a grain processing unit (40) from a grain supplying unit (30) by opening a first door (32) when power is turned on heating air up to a predetermined temperature by a heater (11) emitting the heated air to the grain processing unit (40) through a blower (21) by opening a second door (43) hot air processing the grains by repeating processes of raising the grains upwardly along a hemispherical inner circumferential surface of a lower end potion of the grain processing unit (40), and moving the grains downward along the outer circumferential surface of a hot air supply pipe (42) for the set time circulating the hot air from the grain processing unit (40) to a heating unit (10) through a dust collection unit (50) to resupply the same for the set time, and closing the second door (43) when the grains are processed and collecting the grains processed by hot air to a grain collection unit (60) by opening a third door (44) at a lower end portion of the grain processing unit.
