PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair treating agent in which a feeling that the agent is left in hands is suppressed after being taken in hands and applied to hair.SOLUTION: The hair treating agent is blended with: (A) an acrylic-(meth)acrylic alkyl copolymer (B) an alkali agent (C) a nonionic surfactant (D) an oily component being liquid at 25°C and (E) water, in which the blending amount of the oily component being liquid at 25°C is 2 to 40 mass%. The hair treating agent is preferably blended with at least one kind (F) selected from a carboxyvinyl polymer and hydroxypropyl phosphate-crosslinked starch as well.
