PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic, even if it is applied onto damaged hair, that does not become sticky after the hair being dried, that is smooth to easily pass fingers through the hair, and that gives tension, stiffness, and moisture to the hair further the cosmetic can give a glossy finish to the hair that is not being disheveled.SOLUTION: A hair cosmetic is provided, the cosmetic containing: (A) 3- 99.4 mass% of a paraffin mixture containing a 12-16C isoparaffin, having a boiling point range of 185-215°C, and having a content of less than 10 mass% of a 2,2,4,6,6-pentamethylheptane (B) 0.1-5 mass% of a silicone or a silicone derivative having an average polymerization degree of 1000-5000 and (C) 0.5-8 mass% of a vegetable oil having an iodine value of 30-120. Further, the mass ratio of the content of component (A) to the total content of component (B) and component (C), (A)/(B+C), is not less than 1.
