PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pant-type absorbent article in which a side seal part can be easily torn from the side of a leg opening part, and a trouble and time when removed from a wearer can be reduced.SOLUTION: A pant-type absorbent article 1 of the present invention is formed of a pair of side seal parts 4 by bonding both side edges of a ventral part A with both side edges of a dorsal part B. Any one of a member 2A for forming the side part S of the ventral part A and a member for forming the side part S of the dorsal part B is an extension member 2B having an extension part 21b extending downward from the side seal part 4, and the other is a non-extension member 2A having no extension part. The non-extension member 2A has a multilayer area 40 with sheets laminated at two layers or more in a range within 2 cm in width from the lower end 4d of the side seal part, and a small layer area 41 positioned below the multilayer area 40 and having the number of sheets less than the multilayer area 40.
