The comfort aid 10 may comprise a detachable comforter. The soother 11 may also comprise a detachable teat cap. A toy may comprise a head and body in which the head comprises the comfort aid 10 and the body comprise the comforter. Also disclosed is a soother 11 comprising a shield 20 and hub. The hub comprises a hub body and fascia. The shield 20 comprises a protrusion and the hub body comprises at least one aperture. The hub fascia comprises at least on compressible tang for snap-fit engagement with the aperture.
