A method and system is disclosed for measuring a characteristic loop sensitivity (SLC) for an acoustic transducer. A pulse signal is employed as a wideband reference signal Vr(t); and, in a pulse-echo measurement a corresponding wideband echo signal Ve(t) is obtained. A characteristic loop sensitivity (SLC) for the acoustic transducer is defined as a ratio of an energy density of Ve(t) to an energy density of Vr(t) in decibel, in which the energy density of a given signal is calculated as a ratio of an energy of the signal to a bandwidth of the signal.本發明提出一種測量聲學換能器之特徵環路靈敏度(SLC)的方法與系統。用一脈衝信號當寬頻參考信號Vr(t),並且在脈衝回波測量中獲得對應的寬頻回波信號Ve(t)。聲學換能器的特徵環路靈敏度(SLC)被定義為Ve(t)之能量密度相對於Vr(t)之能量密度的比值,再以分貝為單位表示,其中,信號的能量密度定義為該信號的能量相對於該信號的頻寬之比值。
