The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sulfide-based solid electrolyte material having satisfactory reduction resistance. In the present invention, the problem is solved by providing a sulfide-based solid electrolyte material characterized by having, in examination by X-ray diffractometry with a CuKα line, a peak at a 2θ of 30.26°±1.00° and having a composition represented by Li(4-x-4y)Si(1-x+y)P(x)S(4-2a-z)O(2a+z) (where a=1-x+y, 0.65≤x≤0.75, -0.025≤y≤0.1, and -0.2≤z≤0).
