PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow observation of a display object medical image to be continued even if it becomes hard to keep synchronization between the display device and a shutter glass.SOLUTION: A medical image display device includes: a display control unit for maintaining control so that a left-eye image and a right-eye image forming a medical image on a prescribed display unit are displayed in time division； and a communication unit for transmitting a synchronization signal corresponding to display timing of the left-eye image and the right-eye image to the display unit to a shutter glass including a left-eye shutter and a right-eye shutter, and receiving a response to the synchronization signal from the shutter glass.
