PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reduce the quantity of data stored in a storing means.SOLUTION: In a radiation image reading system, during the display of a moving image 122, an image reading person specifies the region of interest for a moving image 122 (radiation image 122A). When the region of interest is accepted in a region-of-interest receiving section 104, a region-of-interest image 140 of the accepted region-of-interest and the radiation image in which the region-of-interest image 140 is included are extracted from a plurality of radiation images displayed for moving image 122 consecutively. Furthermore, only the region-of-interest image 140, or only the radiation image in which the region-of-interest image 140 is included is controlled to be stored in a storage part 17 as a region-of-interest image file.
