The present invention relates to a novel bacteriophage ECO5 having a killing ability specific to pathogenic Escherichia coli, particularly extended spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) producing Escherichia coli； an antibiotic composition, a feed additive composition, a feed, a disinfectant or a washing agent, which all include the bacteriophage； and a method for preventing or treating infectious diseases caused by pathogenic Escherichia coli, which includes a step of administrating the bacteriophage to an object. The method for preventing or treating infectious diseases caused by pathogenic Escherichia coli using the bacteriophage ECO5 has very high specificity to pathogenic Escherichia coli, and particularly to antibiotic resistant Escherichia coli compared to a conventional chemical material such as antibiotics or the like, and the bacteriophage ECO5 is infected to Escherichia coli to proliferate in the Escherichia coli, thereby having excellent bacteriolytic activity and being strong to physiochemical stimulation.
