A treestand platform adjustment mechanism adjusts the angle of a treestand platform with respect to a vertical support. The treestands vertical support extends between a seat and a platform, the platform extending generally perpendicularly from the support, the support generally aligned with a tree. The support comprises openings extending through a tree-facing side of the support. A captive bracket substantially surrounds the support. A fixing bolt extends through the captive bracket and is received by the openings to set the position of the platform with respect to the support.
