Disclosed is an analgesic/antipruritic preparation for external application, which contains a local anesthetic agent, has few adverse side effects, and has an excellent therapeutic effect on pain or itch in the skin. The analgesic/antipruritic preparation for external application is characterized by comprising oxybuprocaine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient, wherein oxybuprocaine or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 60 wt%, more preferably 1 to 40 wt%, most preferably 5 to 30 wt%.
