The object of the present invention is to provide a preparation for external use, which can effectively exhibit anti-inflammatory analgesic effects of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic agent, and reduce skin irritation, as well as chronic rheumatoid arthritis or arthrosis deformans, moreover, and have an excellent effect on pain accompanying inflammation, such as lumbago. The preparation for external use, which comprises non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic agent and oxybuprocaine, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The content of non steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic agent is 0.1~10wt% based on the total weight of the preparation. The content of oxybuprocaine or pharmaceutically acceptable salts is 0.01~60wt% based on the total weight of the preparation. The preparation forms for external use are ointment, liquid and solutions, suspensions, emulsion, lotion agent, catalpasm, tapes, aerosol or powder for external use.本發明之課題係提供一種外用劑，可有效地發揮非類固醇系消炎鎮痛劑所具有的消炎、鎮痛效果，在黏貼部位可緩和對皮膚之刺激，同時對於慢性風濕性關節炎或變形性關節病，甚至對於伴隨腰痛症等炎症之疼痛具有優異效果。本發明之解決手段係一種外用劑，其特徵在於含有非類固醇系消炎鎮痛劑及奧布卡因(oxybuprocaine)或藥學上可接受鹽類。本發明之外用劑，相對於製劑全重量，非類固醇系消炎鎮痛劑的含量為0.1至10重量%；相對於製劑全重量，奧布卡因或藥學上可接受鹽類之含量為0.01至60重量%。本發明作為外用劑的製劑形態，係軟膏劑、液劑、懸浮劑、乳劑、洗液劑、敷劑、帶劑、噴霧劑或外用粉劑之製劑形態。
