PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that much labor is required for assembling or detaching of a transmission mechanism in and from a seedling planting transmission case to cause the lowering of the efficiency in dismantling and assembling operations because the seedling planting transmission case for internally installing the transmission mechanism to a seedling planting device is conventionally composed of merely a box-shaped case having an opening in a part thereof and provided with a lid in the partial opening thereof, and by solving such problem, facilitate the maintenance and reduce the number of parts and the weight. SOLUTION: This seedling planter is characterized by dividing the planting transmission case 22 comprising the transmission mechanism to the seedling planting device 12 provided with planting rods 11 and 11 for cutting off a seedling for one plant and plating the cut off seedling into soil into the upper and lower parts with an output shaft 23 protruded from the transmission case 22 to both left and right lateral sides and installed so as to rotate and drive the left and right planting rods 11 and 11 as a branched part and composing the upper and lower divided cases so as to sandwich the output shaft 23 and hold the output shaft 23 in the upper and lower divided cases.
