The purpose of this invention is to cool a human body from the inside over a prolonged period of time. This is done by swallowing a cooling unit in order to provide cooling within the gastrointestional tract. The unit consists predominantly of a cooling agent and a protective layer. The protective layer itself allows for comfortable ingestion and disintegration of the protective layer within the gastrointestinal tract causes the cooling power to be released over an extended period of time. his specific invention concerns the internal cooling of a body by swallowing cooling units that can provide internal cooling over a prolonged period of time. The cooling unit consists of a cooling agent (i.e. ice) and a protective layer covering the cooling agent. When the cooling unit is swallowed, there will be little inconvenience of the cold of the cooling agent. The units can provide internal cooling over a prolonged period of time(>； 20 minutes) depending on the content of the protective layer.
