Lining for a casket (C) including a set of pre-upholstered panels (10, 11) retained in postion in a wedging or interference engagment. Each of the lining panels (10) and (11) is made from a self supporting backing sheet (not shown) which is suitably upholstered (12). The preformed upholstered panels (10, 11) will be made of a shape and size suitable for the type/size of casket in which the lining is to be fitted. Generally, each panel will be of a quadrilateral shape having a pair of parallel edges (13).
