PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the trouble of attaching and detaching a carrier from a transportation device.SOLUTION: A plant cultivation system comprises: a carrier with a telescopic bar which extends and retracts in an extension/retraction direction and is made from a plurality of elements which can move relative to each other in the extension/retraction direction, a plurality of container holders supported by the telescopic bar which hold plant cultivation containers, and hooks provided at both ends of the telescopic bar in the extension/retraction direction； a transportation device with an endless transportation belt coupled to one of the plurality of elements of the telescopic bar which transports the carrier in a direction of travel orthogonal to the extension/retraction direction of the carrier； and a pair of guide rails which guide the movement of the hooks.
