The purpose of the present invention is to make it possible to provide massage to a user in a relaxed posture with the body stretched out in the horizontal direction or to a user of a large build in a chair-type massage machine in which a backrest part can be lowered to be retracted for storage. This chair-type massage machine (1) is provided with: a seat part (2)； a backrest part (3) provided on a rear side of the seat part (2) and capable of supporting the back of a user； and a massage part that is incorporated in the backrest part (3) and provides a massage action to a user being seated on the seat part (2). The chair-type massage machine (1) is characterized by being provided with a rearward extension means (7) for extending the backrest part (3) rearward with respect to the seat part (2) as a reference.
